INTRODUCTION: Input-output analysis is concerned with studying the interdependence of the producing and consuming units in an economy and with showing the interrelations among different sectors which purchase goods and services from other sectors and which in turn produce goods and services which are sold to other sectors. The various economic flows are set out in an inputoutput table which is specially designed to provide a concise and systematic arrangement of all economic activity within a state or region (O'Connor and Henry, 1976).
